  1. I am reading The Daughter of the Wind. The color that i would pick for the opening scene is a bright blue. I would choose that color because the first two characters are finding food for their village, and they found a big bear. Then I would choose a red for two reasons the fact that she gets kidnapped and the first two characters almost die. That is why i would choose that color.

  2. If I were directing a play based on the book Run, Boy, Run by Uri Orlev, I would choose my opening scene to be a tinted gray color. During the beginning of the story, Duvid is describing his life in the ghetto of Warsaw. His words are very intense and give you a feeling of sadness. He talks mostly about his family struggling due to the war and his plans to escape for freedom. As I was reading this, I suddenly had sympathy for Duvid. Therefore, the best choice for the background color to be a shade of grey.

  5. The mood that would best represent my book so far is scared and love, because Mitty is very worried that he could have contracted Small Pox.His friends and "girl friend" are all scared for him.The second mood that fits my book is love because Olivia and Mitty really like eachother.Thereforin my opinion the color that would best represent those moods is the color red.

  6. My character the I choose is Cabel because he comes from a poor home which leads him to doing drugs. Then he starts going to school and then he becomes really smart. The last
setting would have to be at his crushes house where he opens up and actually talks about his problems. So this kid is kinda bi-polar depending on the setting.

  7. My book is "Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix". The best color for the first scene would have to be red. Harry is stuck at his horrible, aunt and uncle's house for the summer away from the wizarding world unlike everyone else. This is extremely frustrating for him because he is the only one who has no way of knowing what is going on with the evil lord Voldemort... So when he keeps getting useless letters from his friends, his anger just keeps building. The color might also change to black because Harry and his cousin get cornered by a soul sucking dementor. VERRY intense!!

  8. In mybook Harley like a person the main character Harley is my favorite character.Inthe bookthe settings like the band room or the art room make her feelings better because it doesnt matter where she came fromshe knows that she can just be herself in those rooms. She normally acts like a better person than because she knows she can do great things. However when she is hanging out by the school stairs she turns into a completely different person who doesn't care about rules. She starrts doing things like smoking, drinking, and doing drugs. Samething happens when she is in her boyfriend's car or hanging out with him.She acts like two completely different person depending on where she is or who she is hanging out with.

  9. My favorite character in the book, Going for the Record, is Leah. The main setting that affecs this character is her dad's illness. This illness cuses her to miss some very important milestones in her soccer career. The only other setting that really affects her is her friend Clay. During the book they are best friends but then Leah realizes that Clay loves her more than a friend. This keeps Leah away from her best friend and training partner for soccer. This ends up causing Leah to lose some of the passion she had for soccer.

  10. So far in the book I'm almost done. The book is the coolest book I have ever read this school year. I hope mabey some day I can read the 7th book of Harry Potter. I hear that it is quite fascinating. So the story so far is when Harry Potter figures out that Serouse Black is really his uncle. Also he's not trieing to kill him he's trieing to help him out so Harry won't get killed.

  11. The book I am reading is Elijah of Buxton, and the color I would choose for the opening scene is red. I chose this color because to me red represents action. In this book, the main charater has to hunt down the person who stole money from his friend. Also, some of the characters in this book die and the red would enhance the mood, which is why I would choose this color

  12. I am reading Max from the Mxaimum Ride series. The whole thing is really violent; lots of fighting and sad moments. But there are some really joyous moments to. The part that im at right now is very susspensefull. Max is lost in am underwater cave without a flashlight and she is very scared. So i would have to say that the best color is a dark grayish color.

  14. My favorite character from Paul's Game is Paul. One major setting was at the CD store when he told Julie to steal some things and to test how well he can control her. The other was when he told her to set his house on fire while his parents were out and his siblings were asleep. That was probably the only time where he was actually nervous, so that's why I chose that setting.

  15. I am reading Blue Moon By: Allyson Noel. The color i would choose is a deep shade of red. I would choose this color because in the opening scene the connectoin between Ever and Damen is very romantic. The always tell each other their feeling towards one another. And the way that each of them words there sentences makes you get chills; all of the love is so over coming. A deep shade o fred would most def. represent their undieing love for each other.

  16. In this story, the young girl,Kealdra, has a big deacision to make. The stories of wars between dragons and humans convinced her to take her rightful place as a dragon slayer and slaughter the scaley bruts. However, during her time nursing them and their draclings she sees that there is more to them than firey destruction and cruelness. I typed all this down in comparison to my life at one time because I had a hard time figuring out who I wanted to be. I wanted to grow up and take my place as a young adult, but I also missed the fun imagination adventures that I thought would happen.

  17. I'm read "Merlin". The colors I would choose to set the mood would be red, orange, and blue. I chose these because the red would define the mild violence thoughts of young Merlin. Orange shows that even though the people live in a world of poverty they will soon find a way to fix it all and still a joyful life. Blue represents the sadnees Merlin encounters through his dreams and some in real life when he remembers he's an orphane and left many people he loved behind. Those colors really define what this book is about.

  18. For the story, "A Face First", the opening scene would be green to show how Kelley has no worries other than saving the environment. As the story goes on it would become sort of like a black out to show her confusion about the acciedent she lived through. After many surgeries and skin graft operations, Kelley life becomes a blue because although she is as content as she feels is possible, she will never be as happy as she was again.

  21. I reading Hertbeat by Sharon Creech, the mood that the book makes me feel is happyness. This is because Annie baby brother was just born and her family is relieved that he was born and excited to see him. So the color I would choose from the director would probably be yellow because its bright, and it makes you feel happy.

  22. So if I were directing a play based on my book, Needful Things, I would choose the color black or grey for the opening scene. The beginning of the book is kind of mysterious with the explaination of the new store in town... So the colors represent confusion and excitment, because when things are black you can't see or judge something, and with grey things are hazy.

  23. Well, in my book, there is a part that reminded me of a bad memory. In the book, someone had cut off the head of a dog and left the head on the owner's door step. It reminded me of the tme that I saw a dead rabbit and it's body parts were all over the place outside. I guess the neighborhood cats had killed it.:( It was so sad.

  25. If I were a directing a play based on my book my lighting would have to be black, grey, and orange for the beginning. This is because in the beginning its kinda gloomy because Giselle just gets out of the hospital because of her aneorexia so i picked the colors black and grey to represent that moment. I picked orange because Giselle left the hospital and i thought that was a really intense moment in the beginning because she was able to leave because obviously Giselle was getting better. Also, orange is like a bright happy color so that represented that moment.

  26. The main character of my book, Seph McCauley, goes through alot and many things change him. For example bieng turtured in the havens breaks him, and shows he is nothing in the wizard world, which humbles him but also sets him on a path for revenge. Also bieng in Trinity inspires him and shows he isn't alone.

  27. The passage I chose to represent something that I have felt is in the beginning of the story when Asa's mom told him that his dad and her were getting a divorce, he was crushed because he loved his dad very much. I connected to this passage because my mom and dad got a divorce, and I felt the same way Asa felt. This passage is important to the story because this time was part of Asa's life.

I would choose those colors because the book is about spys and when i think of spys i think of people who try to be unseen the hole time they are doing any thing that spys do. Black because spys sneek around in the night when its black out. Red because i also think of blood when i think of spys because they are always killing.

  30. If I were to direct a play on my book, The Hunger Games I would choose the color black for the lighting. I would choose black because black is usually a symbol for being depressed, and in my book I think the main character Katniss is depressed because she doesn't know how to handle being in the hunger games, and not knowing how her family is and if they are able to get the things they need to survive without Katniss around.

  31. In the book there is a part that the main character is alone but wat he doesn't know is that his sister is disguised so he doesnt know that she is there and then he figures it out and is really happy to see her. I connected because last year i went to Maine and Massachussetts for 2 months and when i saw my family i was really happy to see them.

  32. The color that I would pick for the opening scene if Revelation would be blue. I would pick this color because Reed was leaving her home in Croton, Pennsylvania after Thanksgiving Break to go back to her boarding school in Easton. Blue is a good color to open this play with because Reed doesn't want to go back to Easton after she was accused of a murder.

  33. yes i think the part where Luke was confused about was when he was suppossed to make a decision.I think the same thing has happened to me many times whereby i wished i wasn't alive and many more. Am sure i would pick blue because the story is somehow based on FIRMAMENT[which is the title of the story] and playing of the piano. So am sure i will pick blue or sky blue
