i would rename my book eyes because even though their are three main characters the one who stands out the most is cursed by having eyes on his knuckles and the witch of the well keeps giving him the message out of the three and at first his eyes only starts out as warts but everytime they have to grant a wish his eyes flutter open. This reflects what the main idea of the book is.
ReplyDeleteIf I had had to choose a new title for my book I would choose the title "Stuck in 1899" because my book is about 3 teenagers who get stuck in 1899. I feel that this is a more effective title than what previoius title was (Return Ticket) because I gives a better understanding of the plot of the book. The other title didnt really give me an understanding of the plot until I read the back of the book. Plus the cover picture didnt really help because all it was, was a picture of a boy and a train. I agree with Aly killin that her outgoing character would fit in if he/she move in because they wont be shy and it'll be easier to get to know him/her. It's harder to make friends with a person who's not outgoing because they'll probably just isolate them from the rest of the children.
ReplyDeleteSo if I was the editor of this book, I think that the title should be''The horrible school'', this may sound like a boringer topic compared to the origanal topic which was ''Hidden Talents''. I think my new title should be the title that I pick of this astonishing book because the book is basically about Martin has to go to a new school and live there because of his behavior promblems in school. I totally disagree with his parents sending him off to that school just because of his behavior problems at school...there's other ways to handle it instead of going to that horrible school because his teachers sound very mean ...at least some of his teachers...he might as well go to 4-h. From Thurday's night, I'm going to repond from Isha's blog. I agree with her blog and the book looks fantastic to read...I probabaly won't read the book but it looks like a good book to read about.
ReplyDeleteThe new title I came up with for my book is "Torn" I think it's a good title for my book because the main character is often torn between wanting to do the right thing in killing a powerful strigio but also wanting to stay home and protecting her friend. Her friend is also torn between doing what is right since she is a princess and doing what she wants to do. The powerful strigio is also torn between turning the main character Rose into a strigio to rule with him or having to kill her like the current ruler wants him to do.
ReplyDeleteThe new title i would choose would be "The Curse". It's not that interesting but when you read the title the curse it gets you wondering what the curse is and makes you want to read it. The title reflects the book's main idea so well because the book was about Lucy being cursed and if she did not perform the three tasks than she would go insane. Also, it is a good title because all of the Scarborough girls before her were cursed because of Fenella refusing to go with the Elfin Knight. In addition the book was about tryign to break the curse so that's why i chose this title. I agree with Ally that her character would not really fit here because of the clothing she wears because most people here wear bright preppy stuff like Ally said. Also, i agree with the part of Ally's character wanting to fit in and be close to people because that's what people here want.
