- Describe the setting of your book thus far. Is this a place that made you think, "I've been there," or "I'd love to go there," or "No way would you ever catch me at this place"? Discuss your connections and feelings about the setting so far, explaining how you relate (or do not relate) to the place your story is taking place.
- Think about yesterday's class discussion where we discussed the various properties of specific genres. For example, we said that science fiction books deal with futuristic technology. So far, what characteristics of your book prove to you that it is, in fact, a Mystery novel?
1.the setting of my book takes place when Clay is comming home and sees a box of cossett tapes on hs front porch. His name is on the box he wonders why he got the box. When he listens to the tape he finds out they are from Hannah Baker a girl that commited suiside a couple weeks before. I would not want to be in this setting because he is trying to figure out why he got the tapes from her.
ReplyDelete2.What i have read in my book That proves its a mystery novel is that he doesnt kno how or why the tapes got on his door step. Because she is dead.

The most interesting thing about this book was the father he seemed the most interesting to me becouse he was geting into so much trouble and he seemed like a major part of the book
ReplyDeleteThe most interesting thing about my book is that aready, 20 pages into the book, the main charcter, Macey, has been in a fire and one of her close friends has just died. Im on the edge of my bed every night, but i try to limit my reading time so that i have something to read. I wonder what will happen next....
ReplyDeleteThe thing in this book that says read me i think is the front cover it just grabs your attention, and then when you read the back and you read it is about a rare babe ruth card than it hooked me. The book that remindes me of a movie is survivor because Griffen is trying to help his parents survive there ecnomic depression
ReplyDeleteThe setting of this book remindes me of the neborihood be hind my house its a small neborhood like the one in the book and you can ride a book to pretty much any where and thats why it remindes me of that. And this book proves to me that it is a mystery novel because they have a card that involves some way of stealing it back and that is why it is a mystery novel.
ReplyDeleteThe setting of my book is in a heavily wooded area. It is also very cold and is October.It is not a place that made me say, "I want to go there" other than the fact that the main character in my book has wolves that live in the woods about 20 feet away from her house.
ReplyDeleteThe part about my book that said read me was the beginning where the main character- a girl named Grace- is talking about when she was attacked by a pack of wolves behind her house. I chose the bool because my mom had bought it and not read it yet.

1. I chose this book to read because the way a fellow peer summarized it sounded intresting through the whole problem solving aspect.
