  1. Things my main character cherishes in life are being able to remember almost anything he has ever heard, his family being supportive of him ever since he had cerebal palsy,thAt he lives in seattle, and also just being alive after suffering a blood vessel popped in his head

  2. In my book, Kissing the Rain, the main character, Moo Nelson, values a few things right now; his family, food, and "his" bridge. I haven't gotten too far in my book yet so I still don't know very much about him. He is always either on the bridge near his house or eating loads of food with his family (mom and dad). My values are very different from his because I don't keep to myself and eat 24/7. I participate in sports and hang with my friends. (there are no other comments posted for me to comment on)

  3. My book im reading is "Dreamland" by Sarah Dessen. Things i cherish in life is friendships and family (: The things my main charecter, Caitlin, values in life is, her older sister, Cass, her relationship with her boyfriend (on good days), her friendship with her bestfriend Rina, her loving hippie neighbors (boo & stewart), and she loves photography. My values are similar to Cailtins because our values both have a lot to do with friends and family, because they help us get through everything (comforting, making us laugh).
no one has commented this blog yet... so i guess i will talk to myself! haha, okay here it goess....
ABBY! i totally agree with your values. My book that im reading also inclued friendship and family values. they help my main charecter go through hard times, and they make many great memories (:

  4. Things in life I cherish are... having friends, my family, my dog, my life, and JONAS BROTHERS!! Some of the things my main character, Rainy, cherishes are... her dog, her friends, nature, her family, and animals. I think the plot helped me understand the character's values by repeating things that she enjoys. For example, the author repeatedly says how much she loves her dog and misses her family. Also, the book comes right out and says certain things like "I love nature and all its animals".

  5. My values are running, playing videogames, and hanging out with my friends. Jackie cherishes her father, her mother, her home, freedom, and friends. The plot helped me figure out her values because she really missed her dad and longed to escape from her "captors".

  6. In my book, Rainy's friend that she cherishes the most would probably be he dog, Max. My friend that I cherish the most would be my best friend and neighbor, Mary. Compared to Rainy, I actually have a real person as a best friend. I love my dog, but I think I've grown closer to Mary more than my dog. Rainy loves her dog too much, but it doesn't make any sense that when her dog got run over, she didn't even cry. I, on the other hand, would have balled my eyes out.

  7. The thing i cherish in life is reading an interesting book, listening to music and doing sport activities.Five things the main character values is he's family, friends, books, having walks, being funny and his girlfriend.I found out because of the way he acts and does he's things the characters value doesn't really match mine and i think this is so because he's a boy. I can't respond to anyone's genres because no one has sent his or her's.

  8. Some things I cherish are volleyball, family, my besties, and sleeping. The main character in my book, Kristina, cherishes meth, tobacco, alcohol, bad men, and her baby boy, Hunter. Her values are waaaay out of wack, while mine are more normal for someone my age. She's a hardcore partier and it's shown throughout the plot through her terrible choices and bad behavior.
I'll comment on what Abby said the 22nd....
I agree with how a topic so deep as abusive relationships can suck you in. Because I try to stay out of trouble, it's kind of weird and interesting to read about these girls who make crappy decisions and ruin their lives. It's fun to read as their lives spiral out of control :)

  9. In my book, the passages that really stood out to me and made me remember something that has happened to me was all the pasages that show Rainy writing to her family. She has horible handwriting and her spelling is horrid which reminded me of how i used to write. Also, when Rainy just went up to some random family and helped them carry their bags, it reminded me of this girl, Kayty, that did the same thing to me and my sister when I went to camp. This is important to the book because when it shows Rainy's letters, it helps you understand her ADHD better.

  10. In one passage, the author talked about Kristina wondering what happened to her, and sometimes, when I feel really guilty, I think about how well-behaved I was in grade school. Kristina's bad choices lead to the demise of her regular, goody-two-shoes lifestyle, so it plays an important part in the plot.
I'm gunna comment on what Jenna said about her main character...
Kristina develops something of a split personaility, calling her bold self Bree. Bree is like the person in Jenna's book because she's fearless and talks to random guys and flirts like a maniac.

  11. Its no secret that I cherihs soccer in life. I live breathe and sleep soccer. In my book my character really cherishes three things; soccer, family, and his family's shop, The Snowdonia Auto Marvel. After work opens in London he is left as the only boy in town which kind of defeats tghe purpose of soccer games so he starts to focus on the shop. Obviously we have soccer in common and I love my family too but I can't relate to the shop because my family doesn't have one.

  12. I remember getting lost so many times as a child and the the first time I absolutely freaked out but eventually I just shrugged it off and said "Whatever, they'll find me." Jackie never wanted to believe her father was dead and she wanted to return to her mother, so I connected that to me as a child.

  13. I can relate to Dylan when Mr. Lester misinterprets an aspect of his life. This has happened multiple times just with stuff in general. This is very important to the plot because it provides essentially half the plot. When Mr. Lester, the man from the Art Gallery discovers that Dylan's chickens are named Michaelangelo and Donatello he belives it is because of his love of art. Dylan named them after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

  16. In my book Dreamland by Sarah dessen, i have experienced something that she has. for example, stupid stuff, like going to football games or just hanging out with the girls! haha, But I've NEVER and i dont plan on, getting abused like she does, by her own boyfriend!
    And i guess i will respond to myself again? I'm not really sure if im doing this right, but i will pretend like im somebody else! okay here it goes;
I have had experiences like my main charecter, like going to hang out with friends and stuff like that. and My girl has had some pretty bizarre experiences that I haven't. (:

  17. In my book, Kisssing the Rain, Moo Nelson, has witnessed a murder. He is a fat kid who eats all the time and he thinks it makes him feel better and forget about being made fun of. I can not say I relate to this at all. His life seems very depressing (which I guess helps with the plot of the book), but i don't feel the way he feels about things.
